theres a cafe in my res hall which is really cool bc no other res halls have one but anyway it just opened today and i went down to get hot chocolate bc im ignoring my feelings and i didnt want to make my own but i ended up doing that anyway bc their hot chocolate machine doesnt work and the lady ordered a new one that should be here in like two days she was really nice and i told her no problem but my hot chocolate is watery bc i made it with the off brand keurig and i didnt know the water measurements and i like my hot chocolate chocolatey so i might have to add a packet if i can find one

For the last several weeks I have witnessed a war of stickers in my res hall

I saw the first one on a trash can beside the sidewalk leading up to my hall. It had a distinctive style, a pink background with a skull sporting a mohawk-like hairstyle. I remembered it

The next one I found a week later, on the card swipe into my dorm. I recognized it, and realized whoever was throwing these up probably lived in my hall

I was correct. For the next few weeks, every few days I’d see a new one, always in my hall. Slapped on the side of a dryer. One in the stairwell. Another in the lounge. The same familiar pink and mohawked skull

Currently, I think they have redirected their efforts entirely to keeping one up in the elevators. Every other day there’s a new sticker in a different spot. Every other day I see someone has peeled it off. It makes my heart fall a little every time

But...whoever they are, they’re not giving up. There’s always a new one, no matter how many have been peeled away. I hope they know I’m rooting for them

I love how at the beginning of this school year, I would be absolutely fascinated by the residents of where I worked and how absurdly stupid people got when they were drunk. By now, i’m not so fascinated by them, but simply their level of audacity and just plain stupidity, drunk or sober.

For example, at the beginning of this semester, I heard loud banging coming from the vending machines, so i go over to tell them to stop messing with them (usually it eats money and people hit it to release their food). I get over there and theres 2 girls, not sober by any means but not causing problems and therefore im confused. Until I see the feet. The one’s on top of one of the machines. I slowly look up and there is this guy standing on top of the vending machine and there’s only 2 ways up there; climbing the machine or climbing over the balcony on the floor above and dropping onto the machine. I’m willing to bet it was the second.
