I can practically see your face // and another revolutionary falls from grace Hear the thunder in your brain // not enough sunshine, too much rain
This started out as a very lazy sketch for size difference purposes but uh. Um. Something happened.

I can practically see your face // and another revolutionary falls from grace Hear the thunder in your brain // not enough sunshine, too much rain
This started out as a very lazy sketch for size difference purposes but uh. Um. Something happened.
Just one more and I'll walk away // All the everything you win turns to nothing today
And I forget how to move when my mouth is this dry // and my eyes are bursting hearts in a blood-stained sky
Oh it was sweet, it was wild, and, oh, how we—

Assignation (Softer than Shadow) // (dnd oc/dnd npc)
Assignation (Softer than Shadow) || Augustine Delauney/Admiral Nonus Resciva, original male character/original male character || E || chapter 1/1
Older Man/Younger Man, Mentor/Protégé, Problematic Age Gape, Dubious Consent, Makeup Sex, Implied/Referenced Underage Sex, (due to the chicanery of elven lifespans and the implications of a century-long adolescence), the author's best attempt at understanding billing fraud (and if you have an accounting degree and know better they don't want to hear about it), Alcohol, Under-negotiated Kink, Rough Oral Sex, Anal Sex, First Time, Implied/Referenced Cheating, Clothed Sex, Coming Untouched, Multiple Orgasms, Military Uniforms
Do you see? He hopes Resciva does. He wishes he had not. This is the point at which Augustine ought to have abandoned the endeavor. It is hardly evidence enough to overreach any further, beyond the requirements of his position, far beyond his commission. He could have safely, simply—stopped. But he was curious. So, really, it is no-one’s fault but his own. - A promising young officer only recently promoted suspects that a crime has been committed and covered-up by a new superior. He takes his concerns to his old mentor—as well as the baggage of eight years away.
I've only been talking about it for a month but the first of it is finally done! Everyone meet Augustine.
He's obnoxious, and disliked.
Check it out here!
Finally had a good day off to spend the majority of drawing! This is not what I meant to be doing. But here are the two most important figures in Augustine’s life, pre-ruin: his mentor and patron, Admiral Nonus Resciva, and his fiancee, Innogen San Germaine. Feat, also, the moment it all started to go wrong :D
writing resciva pov proving to be its own challenge because he's got so many masks and barriers and repressions stacked all on top of each other that the second he gets slightly uncomfortable he switches to a different one that isn't as fucked about it but just keeps boiling his own anger in the background of it all and I think actually every minute he does not snap is a miracle
It catches in him like a splinter. His hands flex, wanting for the hilt of a sword, the stock of a pistol, the leather-wrapped handle of a cat. Anger, spitting sparks—hunger, licking at salt and iron. The admiral or the man, who wants to feel something break under the weight of a blow? To feel it creak in his hands, the popping-splinter of a thing about to shatter? Resciva wants—wants wants wants, and never what he ought.
normal reaction to seeing your student dance with his fiancee for sure btw
