Finally had a good day off to spend the majority of drawing! This is not what I meant to be doing. But here are the two most important figures in Augustine’s life, pre-ruin: his mentor and patron, Admiral Nonus Resciva, and his fiancee, Innogen San Germaine. Feat, also, the moment it all started to go wrong :D

Can we talk about Posthumus, masculinity, the agony of redemption, and the fact that finally someone in Shakespeare realizes OUT LOUD that a woman's life is worth more than just her chastity?

Do we think Iachimo has ever had half the seductive power he thinks he has?

Does anyone else get emotional about Belarius or is that just me?

How about a grieving king who takes on a horribly inadequate substitute for his lost children and looks right past that substitute's obvious faults, thereby jeopardizing his relationship with his only remaining child?

Doesn't Pisanio deserve so much better?

Fellow Shakespeareans, what do you call the heroine of CYMBELINE? Imogen or Innogen?

I’m directing a staged reading next month, and I’m now having second thoughts about my protagonist’s name. Which do you prefer? 

(For some context: Innogen was a real name before Cymbeline was written. Imogen was not. A lot of people believe that the ‘Imogen’ spelling in the First Folio was a mistake or a misunderstanding.)
