Exploring the Connections Between Fanship and the Big Five Inventory

Hello and welcome to my research questionnaire! My name is Dorottya Pintér and I am a 21-year-old Psychology student at the University of Pécs, currently finishing my last semester in the BA program. I am conducting the following research to explore any possible connections between fanship and the Big Five Inventory. All participants must be over the age of 18. All of your data will be handled confidentially and will not be used or distributed outside of this research. Participation is completely anonymous and does not require the sharing of personal information. Filling out the questionnaire will take approximately 20-25 minutes. In my previous research, I ventured to investigate the connection between the degree of fanship and identity exploration in emerging adulthood. Surprisingly, I found no correlation; however, a weak correlation between the degree of fanship and instability appeared. Deciding to further investigate this phenomenon, I extend this research to all above the age of 18 and will try to explain the degree of fanship through personality aspects, especially with the neuroticism dimension of the Big Five Inventory.

The Big Five Inventory is a personality questionnaire that has the capacity to measure the following dimensions: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness.
