During the summer of 2018 I have been lucky enough to partake in a research and conservation project in South Africa looking at the Conservation of marine mammals! Along with this I will also be building schools and educating local school children, and performing beach cleans for the local citizens in the area! This is a project very close to my heart as I am of course an Ocean Science and Marine Conservation student, and have had an invested interest in the mammal side of this field since I was 8 years old. I am fundraising until I leave for my trip; partly to get me there but also to help once there with the volunteer work that I will be contributing to for the duration of my stay.
