Poke: What are your top 10 Pokemon?

ASDFJKL: I always struggle with questions like this. Like…I know for sure that Lucario and Mewtwo tie at #1 for me, but all the rest are scrambled and I can never actually sort out where everyone is, whether top five or ten or twenty, pfft. Feraligatr and Blaziken are high up there for nostalgic reasons, Pikachu’s fairly memorable and is the freakin’ mascot it’s hard not to love them anyway…I feel like Eevee is a good one because it evolves into a handful of my favorites, too (in other words I’m a cheat lol). Snivy, Gardevoir, Latias, Kyogre…and I’ve just run out of spaces lol. I like too many. OTLUltra: If you’ve captured a shiny, what was your first shiny?

Not counting the story-driven red Gyarados, my first shiny was a Joltik in Pokemon Black. It’s a little cutie pie.Heavy: Is there anything you hate about Pokemon?

Hate’s a strong word, but like…I’ve never been super fond of how the story took such a backseat to the Pokemon catching and gym battles and all. It’s for that exact reason that I loved Pokemon Black and White so much, even if some people saw it as being way more linear than previous games. Idk, I appreciate a story and for that story to actually mean something, ya know? Whereas before, it seemed like a story really only existed to break tedium a bit, to give us something interesting to focus on for a few minutes before we went off on our way to collect Pokemon and battle gym leaders and all. It didn’t seem to actually matter to the game or the world you were playing in, even when NPCs tried to convince you otherwise that it did, if that makes sense.

…Also, with the advent of Pokemon X and Y allowing us to customize our characters…I WAS REALLY NOT HAPPY THAT OUR CHARACTERS COULD ONLY WEAR GENDER-SPECIFIC CLOTHES AND HAVE GENDER-SPECIFIC HAIRCUTS.

GET ON ANIMAL CROSSING’S LEVEL, DAMN IT.

Luxury: What Pokemon do you think is overrated?

Ummmm…I honestly don’t know, lol. I guess if we’re being perfectly honest, maybe Charizard? It’s not a bad Pokemon, no, and it’s definitely still a badass, but it is rather funny to see how much more hype Charizard gets in particular versus other Gen 1 Pokemon or even the original three starters, nostalgia goggles or not. I mean, let’s not kid ourselves, it is exactly because of how beloved it is that it ended up with two mega evolutions while Venusaur and Blastoise only got one.

And that’s about it.
