The resemblance Akako had to his boss was uncanny. It was almost scary, but it wasn’t something he feared - no the only thing he was scared of was how he was going to die and what he was going to leave behind. ❝ Watch ya step kid, slip and I’m not waiting for you to catch up. ❞ Shini had asked him to keep her company while she sought out Kavya to watch the twins, yet to him, she was only giving herself more work, Kuroiko was available and wouldn’t mind taking them. If Asahi could put his trust in anyone, it would be his younger brother. Kavya on the other hand... well she hadn’t quite given him a reason to put his faith in her.
After all, the fact that she dipped out of Tokyo before the murder of Choki only to return when he was dead didn’t settle right with him. She could’ve stayed put, found a place to hideout, hell Shini would’ve helped her, the ghoul would’ve found a way to convince Asahi’s mother to let Kavya stay ( that woman would take anyone in ).
❝ What’s with ya anyway? No disrespect, but why is Shi-Shi holding you in such high regards? Tell me what ya did to get on her good side so fast, she ain’t really one to trust someone so quickly ya know? ❞
