finished watching ​jacksepticeye's playthrough of resi9 and the game was so fun! loved the story and going back to raccoon city a lot. resi2 is my favorite game in the series (7 is a very close second) so going back was so cool. my only complaint is that claire should have at the very least been mentioned. that's not even the cleon shipper in me talking!!! for the most part lol. leon and sherry were suffering from an illness that they got during resi2. claire was literally with sherry most of the game!!! so logically she would very well have the same illness!!! ada AND jill too cuz they were also in raccoon city during the outbreak!! it makes sense that all of them would have it and would need help. and it bums me out that none of them were even mentioned :/ i am glad at least chris was mentioned at the end there. makes sense since he was important in the last two games! and i have a gut feeling he'll be the main player character for resi10 (along with rose perhaps?) whenever that comes out.

if there's dlc who am i kidding it's a resi game there definitely will be lol i really really hope claire or ada are the player. they should have been in it too 😭😭😭

I am so excited we are so fucking back and not that i wasn't excited for grace but I only just fell in love with leon this year. and now, now I get to see him, experience him with everyone else. I am still behind in the games, only having completed resi4 2005 recently, but I deeply feel connected to this man. I feel so, so indebted to him because he... gave me something to love again. to pour my heart into. resident evil has given me something to love. I haven't felt a passion for something in so long. life has just been filled of meaningless consumption in a desperate act to find something to love again.

then I tried a silly little video game called reaisent evil 2 remake bc the games were on sale and I had an itch. now I finally have this thing to nestle in my heart. this game, this story, these characters. I know they aren't real but by god they are real to me.

I am so excited. after this, I sincerely hope our elderly man finally gets to retire after this.
