I placed my Mano's head sculpt back on his own body, so I took these DIM Leon S. Kennedy Minimee head sculpt afterward... I kind of regret that. Regardless, I wanted to take a few photos of his, in case I regret wiping him clean and repainting him. I am still debating whether I want to just repaint him or also plan some additive mods. I feel like it's just easier to repaint him first and see how I feel about him afterward. The reason why I am a tiny bit hesitant, is because I'm never going to be able to get eyelashes or brow-hairstrokes as clean and sharp as those! They are by no means my magnus opus, or anything close to grandiose. However, I have shaky hands, and they've only gotten worse with old age. I feel like I might have painted those with my super old Arteje (synthetic fiber) 100/0 brush. Which I still own but is no longer in any condition to do anything other than be a reminder of the tiniest brush I've ever owned! Lol!
Anyway, I just took these photos in case I do actually regret redoing his paint apps. Having said that, I am not a fan of how make-up-like pastels paint apps look. I prefer acrylics all the time, for as long as I am alive. I only really did get into pastels because that's what was used back in the dark ages. I was dumb and uncreative. However, I now know that I can shade and blush and everything that I can do using pastels, using acrylics. Without the makeup-like look, that I dislike so much. So, that's the reason why I took these. Because I do want to redo his face up and I will, and perhaps modify him some, but I also fear I won't be able to come anywhere close to the line work I did on him back in the dark ages (2009-ish). So, I took these for that reason. As a reminder, that I suck more and more with each passing day of old age! DX
I took some photos with his first pair of eyes that I got for him from Eyeco (the giant irises ones) and then the custom eyes I got from DT Studio, which are no longer around. I love this sculpt despite how frustrating the GO was, I find it incredibly appealing (to me), even if he isn't anywhere near accurate to (original) Resident Evil 4 Leon, specifically who he was supposed to be sculpted after. I love this sculpt nonetheless, flaws and all. Although, I would have loved it even more, if he had been sculpted properly. Or at least not as asymmetrically as he turned out, or at the very least, a bit more accurate!
