Sometimes RC, CCC, CCMC are so desperate to please their advisors that they lack the ability to see the bigger picture. That bigger picture is how their action may be ridiculed or/and leave a bad taste in people’s mouth, especially those from the advisors own ward. This “committee members” don’t take kindly to criticisms and feedback so they does such “wayang” and when the MP itinerary for the weekend is planned, they are caught with having to do such stupid thing. “We need to showcase the work we have done for the constituency and for our residents” are what you usually hear an advisor say which isn’t wrong cause people should know how they are cared for and it’s just plain politics but to lose the foundation of doing these for the people’s good and becoming an act of gaining points for committee members...
