Last December we renovated the main floor baths and one of the upstairs baths in a home in Southlake, TX for a lovely retired couple. I included before and after photos. What a transformation!
Master Bath: This was a complete gut job, we ripped it all down to the studs so everything is brand new. My favorite change is that there is NO MORE CARPET. Why any previous homeowner or builder thought that was a great idea is beyond me. But I absolutely love the quartzite countertops and the unique pendants. There is plenty of functional storage now for this couple.
Pool Bath: This bathroom also terrified me, with carpet flooring. Again, why?? We added value to the home by making a 1/2 bath into a full bath by adding a shower. This is the main floor's guest bathroom and also serves as the pool bath for the family. This space was also a complete gut, ripped to the studs, everything is brand new. I don't miss the all-in-one scalloped "faux marble" sink/counter combo! All the bathrooms in the house had these, all different colors, I'm glad to announce they have all been replaced.
Upstairs Bath: This bathroom might be the most terrifying of all. The shower was small and completely enclosed, so it was dark and sad. We opened it up by making it a glass enclosure. There wasn't much usable storage so we added a headknocker over the new toilet (not shown). Everything is brand new in this bath as well. My favorite item being the funky pendants adding some unique personality to the space.
On to the rest of the main floor, including the kitchen, living and dining. Stay tuned!
