Encased in light from the neon signs all around them, Vale's shadow projected down to the sidewalk. Valencia was surrounded by their shadow, but it was clear that they meant no harm, especially since they knew her and, well, she knew them!

Hopping down from their spot where they were stuck to the bright sign, they luckily dropped down without breaking the sign or causing more property damage than normal. Once they reached the ground with a short huff, they lifted their mask up just enough to show off their doofy smile when they got to see Valencia while they were...at work? At work, sorta? This was work that didn't pay at all! But still!

    To say that Dani gasped would be an understatement. To say that this was one of the coldest and yet hottest takes that Dani has ever heard would also be an understatement! To say that Dani was offended would be yet another understatement! But he was not offended that he was a curse! No! He was definitely a curse! But...GUAPO?! Guapo was no such thing!! Keeping his face in a look of pure shock, Dani squatted down and squished whatever he could of Guapo’s very handsome cheeks. 

    “How could you say that?! Míralo! Look at little Guapo, he is an angel!” Dani flashed a puppy-dog-eyed look up to Clara. “Él es sólo un bebé! He’s done nothing wrong in his entire life! I have! I have done plenty wrong! But Guapo?? Never!”

It's no secret that Vale admires their parents, the stars gleaming in their eyes as they thought about all the nights they spent listening to their parents write and record the best songs together.

"See, my dad was the kind of guy who taught me how to be a punk! He never gave a shit about what anyone thought about him, except my mom, I think! If someone was an asshole, he didn't have a problem makin' them shut up. He's someone who's got big emotions and I got that from him! We're zero to one hundred real fast! Like how I go from relaxed and tired to a fireball ready for chaos? Jack's like that!"

"And my mom? My mom's where I get a lot of my attitude from. She's chill, but she's got a lot of heart too. She's honest and she cares a lot about others. And that extends out to her fans too! She loves her fans! When I was little, she taught me to care about others and watch over others and treat everything and everyone with respect. That teaching kinda backfired on her, though, 'cause now I'm basically friends with everybody, even when they try to kick my ass! Which, I think she's been tryin' to tell me to stop with that? Yes!! Vale does act differently around basically every single person! Everyone gets a special treatment from Vale! But I can absolutely try to section out their different behaviors/presentations of themself with different kinds of people.

Friends: Friends get a very excitable version of Vale! They get a Vale that is ALL GAS NO BRAKES until they feel super exhausted and then they essentially shutdown. However, most of the time, this is a Vale who sends good morning and goodnight texts, loves hanging out, has a high morale all the time, and makes plenty of jokes. They love inspiring their buddies!

Family: Family members get the closest view to who Vale is, deep down. Their family has seen Vale since they were a kid, which means they saw Vale grow up from a very scared, very quiet kid to the very social person they are now! Vale is more chill around their adoptive parents, opting more to relax and take it slow around them.

Strangers: BADASS MERC. V. V IS THE NAME AND THE GAME. This is the Vale we see a lot in game, with badass quips and fast moves and essentially doing vigilante justice along with mercenary work. They're the person you can rely on, lean on in a time of fear or worry. They always keep their calm in a stressful situation, they laugh off thrills and stress. This is a badass who laughs in the face of danger and wants to serve as an inspiration for others.

Most people would say the opposite of Trilla, but that was part of why Vale had fun when they could speak to Trilla. She had a different view on the world than most people, which is what Vale really valued here! Vale is not what you would consider most people. They had a heart of gold, their heart on their sleeve, and a luck that some would envy and others would fear. Sure, Vale was unlucky enough to see a streetkid friend get turned into an Arasaka agent! They were also lucky enough to survive when she stabbed them through the chest! Yeah, they were pure chaos in motion.

"Well, you always had good judgement, Trill!" Somehow able to relax on the couch next to someone who had wanted them dead or captured or maimed or whatever it was that she was after. That definitely confused them! Why would their friends end up wanting them dead? Friends didn't do that. Friends hung out on the couch and played video games! Like right now!

Vale tossed a little doodad to Trilla, the controller modeled after a retro game system's controller from like...the early 2000's! With an unceremonious plop, Vale landed on the couch with a grin. "So! Pick your metaphorical poison! Do y'wanna play a fighting game? Racing? A platformer? Have you played video games before?"
