Aaand the results are in!
I was off from reaching my sweets goal by 4 days but I managed to stay away from meat for 4 days more than planned so in the big perspective I’ll call my resolutions a success.

Resolution:
Pet more dogs
Resolution:
I'm going to take and post more photos in 2018. Of things I see, of me, of my life, of my friends, whatever. Life can be ugly but I want to post more of the pretty [and the ugly too].
Resolution:
I'm going to make more original content in 2018 (posts, tweets, writing, photos, drawing, music, anything and everything creative). Putting it on my blog so I can hold myself accountable!
New Year's Recap
New Year’s Recap
It’s that time of year! Let’s see how I’ve done on my New Year’s Resolutions.
Last year’s resolutions were:
Finish Daughter of Madness.
Finish APM.
Successfully attend Futurescapes.
Successfully attend my planned events, RAI and MystiCon.
Figure out my next novel project and start on it.
Be better at not over-committing myself, and on following through.
Keep up with my short story craft.

resolutions 2018.
On January 5th, I wrote out some personal resolutions for myself to hold onto throughout the year. Seeing as how it’s been four months since then and I’ve been experiencing a lot of big changes in my life, I wanted to do a bit of review: check in with my initial resolutions, see what I’ve accomplished, see what I’ve still got to work on.
Lets rocket.
2018 Resolutions (Month in Review next post)
Alright well January is officially over so I’m going to do a Month in Review to figure out what my goals will be for the next 4 weeks.
my thoughts:
I’m super happy every morning as soon as I see my little plant growing I want more of this feeling and more mindfullness is general is always a good idea
Goal: Be more mindful
Step(s) to achieve:
Buy seeds/dirt/pots
Learn about gardening
Practice yoga and meditation
Breathing exercises and mantras
Mind over mood worksheet
Take breaks
I love playing guitar but never stick to a schedule. I want to have callouses fingers all the time, found my nail clippers and have a good place and time to practice. Just need a new song to inspire me.
Goal: be more confident/ gain skills
Steps to achieve:
Practice guitar in the morning (1-5 minutes) and at night (15-30 minutes) an hour on the weekends
Print out 9 new songs to learn! That the struming/ plucking pattern, chords, amd tempo are dooable
Get firehoop gear! Almost time to burn!
Love yourself <mindful mantra>
Go on a date <romance>
Which brings me to my next point
Go on a date/be confident/love yourself/accept and seek romance and even just lust is really hard for me. I need to start small. Maybe just try to make friends and work on self esteem.
Goal: work on self esteem (not spefic to skill building)
Learn more makeup and skin care technique (with new friends!)
Move out to sf and go out every other weekend-ish (if money allows)
Join a new class (dance/art)
Become an RA
Dog walk
Go to work parties
Meet up with people just to hang out
Always be prepared with plan B if I get too nervous
Try to learn to each “catch phrases” to say to let people know you dont feel well without being a bummer (feeling like one)
Writing my goals this way helps me understand my motives and remember my values .
january resolutions
new year, same me - some resolutions
it’s day three of the year and i am still struggling to find good resolutions that a) i will actually stick to and b) will do me some real good. i feel as though i’ve grown a lot in the last year already, but there are still a few things i’d like to continue to work on. i think that i’m going to separate those goals into three categories - physical health, finances, academics - and tackle each category with monthly (hopefully attainable) goals.
health
-meal prep at least one meal a week -drink at least 32 oz of water a day -go to the gym at least twice a week -go to at least one yoga class
finances
-put $100 into savings -do not remove any money from savings -unsubscribe from services you no longer need/ use -clean out closet + sell or donate
academics
-solidify at least one research paper topic -study every day until the greek exam (1/8) -read at least one thing for quals -try to go paperless with notes/ readings/ etc
