What is Resonance?
Resonance is a force emanating from a Cosmic Beast - an ageless eldritch being, born inside a stellar nursery when a forming star, by a chance, becomes self-aware.
Such creature is attuned to the very fabric of reality, and by resonating with cosmic strings can alter it. This ability allows them to exits without disturbing gravity around nearby stellar objects.
Cosmic Beasts usually drift though the universe, existing, but sometimes something might catch their eye. Like sentient people living on a planet.
How this affected planet Yav'?
A Cosmic Beast with a spectral class B8V arrived to the planet at the dawn of civilisations. Different races, interactions and culture fascinated them, making that solar system their permanet home.
In close proximity to the beast anything can resonate with them and change. Even forces of nature turned into corporal concepts of Elemental Dragons. Sentient people learned to wield a fraction of this power with Tools of Resonance to survive and prosper. Civilisations rose and fell and Resonance played a key role though history.

Cosmic Beast was worshipped like a God with many names, but mortals couldn't interact with them directly without frying their minds. So the beast created a being to serve as a bridge between them and mortals.
