R is for resources. Understanding the narrative and structure around resources and resource distribution creates a frame for understanding underlying and often unconscious systems of inequality. The concept and idea of resources is often tied closely to the idea of tangible things that can be divvied up; this assumption blinds us from seeing power, respect, rights, identity, history, narrative, and more as a resource and a source of power.
