{side note, it's amazing that this whole RESPECK MY NAME thing is going on} #respectchi #respectdc Emotions are funny. I remember coming to Chicago and attending events at 900 N Michigan and imagining how I could put a brand together to be amongst those floors...amongst that prestige, or perceived prestige. With a smile on my face, I'm ready to announce that we will be leaving Michigan Ave for now. We had thought about trying to save face, (but my acting days are over) and for many months, we stayed just to see if it would pick back up. Fortunately we realized our customer was changing and wanted to see more of us as a brand, so we prayed, and we waited. We built so many relationships while on Michigan Ave! Some still in place, and some we will leave over there. For those who took the time to support (whether with words of encouragement, or with purchases), and were proud to have a black owned business on Michigan Ave competing against the world, rest easy, and continue to be proud of the growth going forward as we continue to be a black business, in business. 1822 GRAND Opening, grand closing. We will resume business on Thursday with some new energy for the people. Come try some @dussecognac
