Geofeedia was a location-based social media search tool. A user begins by entering a location, which could be their organization’s properties, and all social media posts from selected sources will appear on the map, pinned to where the post took place.
This tool could be immensely helpful and worked simply by harvesting masses of social media posts from each of the supported social media services. Of course, most clients don’t want to see all posts but want to be immediately alerted in special cases.
When dealing with a data-heavy service, users must have simple and accessible ways to find the information they want, as fast as possible, but also to automate the process of broadcasting notifications to others within the organization.
