Roger got to be part of a very cool surprise for an unsuspecting bride this last weekend. You see Carlos and Anna have been married for 20 years and Carlos wanted to celebrate their love for one another by renewing their vows once again after two decades together……but he wanted to do it as a surprise for her on the beach. So Carlos had set up the perfect plan. He arranged it all thru the The Victorian, an amazing restaurant in Santa Monica and they would set up the chairs and such on the beach. Now to get Anna there and surprise her…… And this is where the genius of the plan came into play…. You see Anna was going to be on the beach getting some pictures taken by a family friend (who was in on the surprise) and this family friend was “casually” going to walk her over to the area where Roger and all their friends and family would be waiting and surprise her with the wedding. But they didn’t want her to notice the assembly of friends and family…. So the photographer friend had her walk backwards for probably a couple hundred feet and she never saw it until she was right on top of it ! It worked perfect and she was overwhelmed. A beautiful wedding !! And Roger topped it off with an amazing ceremony. It was a great day. Roger told Carlos the only downside to this wonderful day was that Carlos set the bar really high for every married man out there ! Touche’ Carlos !

Jhorge and Lily are such a sweet couple. They got married at the Paracel Restaurant in Westiminster on Mother’s Day. To honor this great day, they had a Mother’s Rose Presentation. In addition to the mother’s rose presentation, they also had a unity candle and wine box and love letter ceremony.
They also wrote their own vows. Check out my last blog or reach out to us to see the two easy steps on writing your own vows.
It was a sweet and intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family.

Raed & Gustavo live out of state so we didn’t have a chance to meet in person before their wedding. We were only able to communicate via email and texts as their careers are very demanding and on top of that they were planning their wedding on their own. All I knew was that they wanted a Spanish ceremony so I designed the perfect one for them and they loved it!
When I arrived to their venue, the beautiful Mastro’s Ocean Club in Malibu, and met Raed for the first time we realized we’re both from Puerto Rico!!! Five minutes into our conversation and being introduced to his friends I realized they knew part of my family and some of my friends from back home. The automatic love and connection between Puerto Ricans that meet outside of the island was immediately intensified!! It was like being with my own family and friends!! They even had a seat reserved for me and asked me to stay with them through the night.
I ended up exchanging numbers with some of their guests and the AWESOME couple invited me to come stay at their beautiful home. Needless to say we established a lifelong friendship. These people will be in my life forever.
I cannot express how much love I felt from them and all their guests. This was truly the best experience I’ve ever had!!!!

Jaden and Quesia are starting out on a fresh, brand new adventure together as newlyweds as they were wed at the Reef in Long Beach with a beautiful view of the Bay. Even though they are in their early 20’s, they knew they wanted each other and no one else to grow old with. There was many advice from their parents and relatives to wait and make sure, but anyone watching had no doubt they were sure. Jaden told me before the ceremony to just make sure everything was right for his bride, that’s all he cared about. So he’s already ahead of the game. His mother also commented after the wedding, “I am losing my son, the apple of my eye! But he couldn’t have chosen anyone better than Quesia”.

On Saturday August 27th2016, Great Officiant Greg and Great Officiant Beth had the honor and pleasure of marrying Tim and Kristen Tristen Allegaert at the Tonga Hut, a Ultra-Kool 1958 Tiki-style bar and restaurant in Palm Springs California! This was a real treat as it is such a unique venue for a wedding and reception!
The happy couple selected the “Aloha” ceremony. As Aloha means love in Hawaiian (as well as hello, goodbye, and other things) so it was the perfect match for the Tonga Hut. Great Officiant Beth, Greg’s wife, blew the conch shell prior to the ceremony. The blowing of the shell signals the start of a new journey, and scares off evil spirits and crazy relatives and friends! Greg was happy to have his wife Beth play the conch as she is really an expert! Due to a freak Frisbee accident when he was a young man, Greg can no longer play the conch shell successfully.
However, Great Officiant Greg did a fantastic job with the Aloha ceremony! Don Ho would have been impressed! It was fun, loving, funny and full of Aloha!
Many thanks to the staff of the Tonga Hut for their help, and thanks to Great officiant Beth for the fabulous Leis! Beth’s company Lei of Love is the preferred florist of Great Officiants.
All of the staff at Great Officiants wish Tim and Kristen many years of Aloha with their life together.
