The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy tells us that the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything is 42. I have often theorized that Douglas Adams chose this number because of Jackie Robinson. Today was the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech. It is also the day that Chadwick Boseman, passed into ether to join the ancestors. Before he left he graced us with performances where he portrayed of some of the greatest Civil Rights legends, real and fictional. I personally did not know if his illness until this news, but now that I know I can see how his connection to the characters of King T’challa and Stormin Norman were so powerful - he was channeling experiences that were true, real, and authentic just like the real life characters of Thurgood Marshall and Jackie Robinson whom he also played. It is that role as Jackie Robinson that strikes me now. #42. Mr Boseman was 42 years young. I believe he dedicated his life to trying to teach us that Love is the Answer. Let us honor him and his memory as we honor the memories and principles of the icons he portrayed. #restinpower . . . . . #chadwickboseman #blackpanther #storminnorman #thurgoodmarshall #jackierobinson #civilrights #icons #legendsneverdie #ancestorrealm #knowpeacebrother #restinlight #restinpowerkingtchalla #wakandaforever https://www.instagram.com/p/CEdRrdgnq9GVGZXa-ivSnaPlFZf_kLtqS22C2k0/?igshid=1ozzvicbs8ab9
