Down in the Well...

Originally, RetConStruct was a duo comprised of Husband & Wife, Guy & Jill Valdes. Less than two years after their inception, the band has grown to a quartet adding drummer Kyle Valdes and bassist Miriyam Nachtwulfe into the fold. The sound is bigger, and darker than ever before, it sounds a lot more organic and there is so much more dynamics in the range, it will surely bring in a hoarde of new music lovers as well as blowing away (the minds) of the already established fan base. The band has really taken up 2013 with playing shows and defining their sound; show after show, after show. From opening for the ferocious Demona Mortiss in March with label mates NPMN, and local (to RetCon, San Francisco, CA) black metal band Divination of the Damned -- then heading down to Tijuana to play with NPMN & Noise of Terror at the end of March -- then just weeks later, the band came up to Seattle, Washington to play the 1st Annual The Monster Masquerade with the legends of spook headlining, God Module, and then NPMN & Pixelpussy. Right after the Monster Masquerade, RetCon was selected to open for Dope Stars Inc. on their first U.S. Tour ever! This was followed by a slew of shows in the Los Angeles area, so many that they can't seem to leave (..not like that's a bad thing.) Currently, we are gearing up for the bands debut release through Wax-Heart Records Ltd. Once a few more details are solidified, we just might share some of the excitement with you. The band's sophomore album *will be* preceded by a single, that's all we can say for now.
