My 2nd lobe piercings get infected evey other month and I'm just sick of it. I tried switching to titanium jewellery and many other things and nothing helped. RIP, I'll miss how cute you were, but not worth the pain 🪦💔

I think I have to ‘retire’ my conch piercing. It’s been like 3 years & it’s still not healed properly.
I’ve only ever retired 2 other piercings & they were a surface & a dermal anchor, so piercings that would eventually need retiring regardless.
I don’t want to. Is there any hope for this piercing? It’s done with anatometal quality jewellery & I’m not allergic to any metals.
Such a heavy heart
Sad to say I had to take out my tongue piercing. I ended up catching a super nasty cold and every time I would cough, it would hurt my piercing so badly, and I was coughing every 10 minuets. It was complete hell for me, and I lasted about 2 days. Which made me really sad, but grateful I wasn't in pain everytime I coughed. I am still getting over the same cold, and still occasionally coughing. I can't imagine having just toughed it out till the end.
But here's a couple pics below, from right after I took it out. I'm also a bit appreciative I took it out, because I realised it was a little off. The top ball would really dig into the left roof of my mouth, and the bottom part of the ball went straight through the webbing under my tongue, and ended up severing it, (but I can move my tongue fine, taste fine, no issues). Which I heard was a big no, and I'm not sure if that's why it was so painful when I would rest the ball or rest my tongue. One last thing, I'm pretty sure I would have worn down my gum line behind my bottom teeth, since I have a slight overbite, and a small mouth. So maybe catching a cold was for the better?
Well maybe if I still want to in the future I may attempt to retry and get it pierced, but for now I'll stick to something else. *still eventually getting a double nostril piercing next month, but at separate times.
Here's some pics from when I took out my tongue ring, really blurry, but the green circle is where the holes were.
Took out my lip piercings today, I've been getting ulcers around one of the flat backs, amd chewing/pulling on them so much the irritation just isn't worth it. I miss them already though, they were a little part of me.
Finally plucked up the courage to take my bridge piercing out. had it for 8 years and had problems with it migrating on one side for 3 years now. Now it's out i can see that on one side it had migrated around 6mm forward!
