Love Is Fleeting Attraction, Healing Is Earned: A Jeff Main's Counterattack
Sometimes, self-healing is simply not enough to keep you alive. There is a heart-wrenching pain when you realize that your fellow strategist has forgotten your existence, even though you were pouring all your love and dedication into healing them and keeping them alive. At that point, it's time to end the one-sided relationship. You deserve better.
In a situation like this, I believe in paying kindness with kindness. Instead of begging or spamming for heals that will never be reciprocated, take a new angle and prioritize your other teammates. Eventually, your fellow teammate will feel the pain of being emotionally neglected, and they will learn not to take your love for granted. There are more fish in the sea. You simply moved on to someone who appreciates your heals.
However, if your noncommittal partner is a Cloak and Dagger main, I suggest using a different approach. My resentment for Cloak and Dagger mains isn’t because their characters lack skills, but because they have ruined my ultimate one too many times. While other strategists have three strikes when on my team, Cloak and Dagger mains get half a strike. I don’t make the rules, I just work here.
Pray to the Jeff the Landshark God that the enemy team has a Magneto. When Magneto uses his ultimate to counter Cloak and Dagger's, your job is to charge Magneto's ult. All you can do now is hope the Magneto player has aim. Sometimes, teamwork isn't about the people you’re forced into proximity with, but the ones you meet along the way.
Certifications: 400-hour Jeff Main and about 1500 hours as a former Marvel Rivals player. Yes, I touched grass.
