Honestly, when I was a kid I had no idea what those transforming silvery-things were for. All I knew was that delicious tamales came out of them. Fast forward 30 years later and a customer unlocked my memory, just as I unlocked hers with my wire mandalas. Who else remembers either of these curious contraptions?
