☾: Sleep Headcanon

When sleeping, Retsu prefers pillows to blankets, and will often sleep on top of the covers with a multitude of pillows to snuggle into. She is a very light sleeper, and even the smallest amount of noise or light wakes her.

Daniel is the heaviest sleeper of the family. It is nearly impossible to force him to wake up when he is in a deep sleep. He thoroughly enjoys big fluffy blankets, though he can fall asleep just about anyway if he is tired.

Ari, having lived in the mountains for the majority of her life, can also fall asleep anywhere on just about anything. Her bed of preference is a nice hammock, and she loves taking naps out in the sun in the middle of the afternoon.

Aaron is another light sleeper, as well as a night owl. He usually stays up late reading one of his books or informative magazines. Sometimes, without any of his siblings knowledge, he’ll go out in the middle of the night in search of spirits to talk to. His calm demeanor throughout the day may be due partially to his fatigue from lack of sleep.

Sarah is the other heavy sleeper, and she simply cannot sleep without at least one stuffed animal sharing the bed with her. That or she sneaks into her older sister’s bed to cuddle with her. Either way, she doesn’t like to be alone as she sleeps, because she often has very vivid and strange dreams that frighten her in the night.

☠: Drinking Headcanon

Retsu vowed shortly after Sarah and Aaron were put into her care that she would stay away from all the substances out there, alcohol included. 

Daniel isn’t sure of the allure of alcohol, and being underage cannot acquire any in order to test it out, so it remains a mystery to him.

Ari is the only one of the family that actually drinks—being she is the only one that legally can, at 22-years-old. When she feels the need to relax from training she will go and have a few drinks. She’s a boisterous drunk, and loves causing commotions at bars.

Neither Aaron or Sarah drink, since they are only twelve and seven, respectively.

♒: Phobia Headcanon

Retsu’s primary phobia is being inadequate. She constantly feels the need to prove herself to be better than those around her, especially in combat. She is also afraid of crowds, mucus, and sharks.

Daniel’s primary phobia is being trapped—for obvious reasons. He is also afraid of being alone, darkness, and thunder.

Ari’s fears are rather limited, mostly because she has trained extensively to disregard fear entirely—or at least be able to put herself in a mindset to overcome any fear she may face. She still has a slight fear of mosquitoes and the ocean.

Aaron is also not one to be afraid of much, because of his calm demeanor, his fears are rather rational. He is afraid of heights and has a slight fear of germs.

Sarah’s fears mostly consist of the evil spirits—Hollows—that she is able to see. She is also afraid of clowns and needles.

⋆: Sex Headcanon

Being asexual, Retsu is rather clueless when it comes to sexual cues and the like. She is not able to look at a person and find them sexually attractive, therefore is inactive in the field. She also has other, more pressing matters at hand than dating and sex.

Daniel, having been cooped up in his inner world for the majority of his life and practically raised by a spirit thousands of years old, knows only how to behave properly around others. Sex is something entirely foreign to the innocent boy.

Ari isn’t really one to sleep with anyone merely because she feels that no one is good enough to have sex with her, but this pompous attitude seems to dissolve when she gets drunk—even just tipsy. She’s about aggressive in bed as she is in a fight.

☮: Random Headcanon

Retsu’s favorite thing to do early in the morning, just before dawn, is to go on a long run. Depending on her mood and/or how much time she has, she’ll either run to the closer by Tsubakidai park or the farther away Karakura Community park.

When Daniel is feeling stressed and cannot talk to his Zanpaktou, Ame, he will take several showers throughout the day—since the pseudo rain effect reminds him of the spirit and gives him a sense of calm.

Ari likes to use her height to her advantage. Take that as you will.

If Aaron had a choice, he would spend his whole day gardening. He loves being outdoors, getting his hands dirty, and creating an environment in which life can flourish. Someday he wishes to own his own plot of land, just so he can grow things.

Sarah loves to draw with Aaron, hoping to someday be able to draw as well as he does.

★ - Do they prefer daytime or nighttime and why? ❄ - Favourite season and why? ✖ - Who is someone they just cannot stand?

★ - Retsu prefers the day, especially early morning. She’s not much of a night person—very much thriving on the sun to function. Another reason she likes the daytime is because less of the hoodlums she’s messed with are out on the streets.

 ❄ - Spring is the teen’s favorite season, first because winter is rather hard for her with there being so little daylight, and secondly because it reminds her that even after everything dies, life continues on.

✖ - Reiichi Oshima. It was hate at first sight.

☁ - If they’re caught out in the rain how do they react? ♪ - Are they musically inclined?

☁ - Retsu actually really enjoys the rain, and will sometime purposefully go out for a walk when it is raining. So, when caught in it, she simply appreciates it—listening to the music it makes as it crashes down on various materials and surfaces, feeling its gentle touch on her face.

 ♪ - Since most of her childhood was devoted to mastering the art of fighting, Retsu didn’t have time for developing other skills such as music. She does, however, have an ear for music, and can do a bit of singing to match a tone—if it’s within her short range.

The teen looks at the Phantom suspiciously. He of all people should know. With a deadpan expression, she holds up one finger. “I like growling." She holds up a second finger. “And hair pulling or scalp massages." She holds up a third finger. “Biting on the jaw or collarbone." Putting her fingers down, the girl folds her arms tightly, not daring to look at the boy.
