Return
Snatcher, like a long and ghastly black snake, twirled around the limbs of his hollow jack-o-lantern home and drooped upside down in front of the intruder who so gracefully avoided his over-sized mouse traps. It was one thing to play a game of cat and mouse, but another to try and play the cat, stomping around his twining forest with no caution. He hadn’t yet caught wind of this intruder, but had finally closed in on them when they headed towards his cozy little flat.
Strange that they seem to knew the direction to head. Snatcher was none the wiser, something unusual for the great specter he prided himself in being. The background was consumed line-by-line by brilliant, royal shades of purple, blue, and black. He opened one eye, grinning from one side of his face to the other in perfect unison.
“FOOOOOOOOOoo-- oooh... oh, it’s you.”
Snatcher unraveled from the branches, threaded body coming undone like a pulsating, wiry obsidian string as he floated in front of her. His expression had faded from a cheshire grin into a limp line.
“What’s up, kiddo...? Been a while since we talked.” His hands idly linked together beneath his face, a dramatic pose she’d seen many times.
