Only if you want to but can I hear more about the heartsworn chapter you came up with?
Also regardless your art is amazing!
Glad you like my lovemarines!! Hehehe. They’re a bunch of sweeties, really. Their mutations are seemingly minor, especially for where they are established, just outside of the Ghoul Stars. They really don’t hold a candle to anything you’d see even in successors of the Blood Angels.
Here are some proud marines for the Heartsworn! Note the eyes and lovey dovey smiles.
They’re like lovebirds…they really prefer to stick together. When they offer up their most technologically advanced for training on Mars amongst the priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus, they have to send two or more, to avoid their men falling into deep melancholy and panic.
You’ll often find lovemarines decked out in carved pink moonstone beads and handwritten purity seals and golden rings inscribed with love notes, all little gifts from their squadmates and admirers. The older marines have so much, they face the devastating task of trying to manage where it all can safely go without being lost or forgotten.
The most important thing to a Heartsworn is quality bonding time with his fellows. Often, whole companies will take time together when not in preparation for combat or active military leave. Their rare free time is spent in close physical contact with one another; often laid out on large cots, free to lavish praise for successes and support for failures after a mission. They repair armor together, they polish weaponry together, they prepare for the next coming day together. Relaxing touch and reaffirming talk is common.
There is a natural hierarchy which each Heartsworn is raised in and trained in, and consent is openly discussed and respected. Not even necessarily for intimacy, but for general contact. No shame is felt, so there is no fear of being hurt, so to be told no is a natural and healthy thing.
Interestingly enough, they barely interact with their human serfs or servitors, even if such beings delight in being so close to their astartes. They truly only have care for one another, and are cold otherwise…
Andddd that’s all I have energy for rn, but thanks so much for the ask! I’ll write more and draw more for them again soon! ❤️❤️❤️ amor vincit Omnia!
