My tribute to my (former) childhood hero Reverend Dr Frank "Buzz" Scott as he is described in the actual Poseidon Adventure novel, rather than the iconic characterization of the 1972 classic film played by Gene Hackman as well as Rutger Hauer in the 2005 made-for-tv movie.
In the Poseidon Adventure novel, Reverend Scott is an ex-athlete, a celebrity quarterback from Missouri turned Minister, described as being a still tall imposing figure, crew cut, and would be all-american-boy beauty were it not for the broken nose.
He (as well as literally all the other characters) are absolutely ruthless assholes in the novel.
