Metal Family Reverse AU Idea

What if Glam and Lydia traded places?

Shout out to lesbian rocker biker moms am i right

1. Lydia and Vicky would be the main couple/parents of the Metal Family

2. Dee and Heavy would still exist. Genetically different though.

3. Ches would still be the best friend (having taken in Lydia rather than Glam/Sebastian). And so Ches would be their sperm donor for the kids. Biologically the kid’s Dad but officially their Uncle. Maybe a poly situation but probably not lol.

4. Lydia would meet Vicky in the same way as Glam but would have wooed her a bit sooner. Still draws for Vicky and both get into accident but with Lydia probably driving headfirst into Vicky with her own motorcycle or something.

5. Similar issues would arise in the family. Lydia would snap at Dee for same reasons. She still has a lot of trauma. Though something new would be I think she would have some guilt for leaving Glam since she would be the older sibling and she feels she failed to take care of him.

6. Lydia would be less passive than Glam and I think would be more like Gustav as far as parenting goes (being colder) though she doesn’t hurt or yell at her kids. More on the berating side when it comes to flaws.

7. Is a music director and works on the technical side of production.

8. Plays bass along with guitar. Still in the band with Ches as a teenager and young adult.

9. Keeps cold exterior but a lot more self assured and aggressive than being passive/people pleasing like she is at home. Learns to fight to defend herself.

10. Rather than Gustav finding out through the model of the city he would find her diary and maybe her sketchbook, scrapbook or something along those lines. Glam would have been the one to snitch on her.

11. Gets the nickname “Doll”, “Courtney” or “Love”. Doll because Ches teases her for being picky about her looks/appearance/the trailer, Courtney or Love because he says she looks and acts like her. Not sure though, open to debate for other nicknames.

12. As loving a mother as she can be. Has pretty similar relationship that Glam has with her kids.

13. Absolutely adores Vicky as much as Glam does. Not legally married but live together and are domestic.

14. No scars but more mental trauma. Tends to snap at people, have night terrors and more panic attacks. Less controlled than Glam is in the series.

And that's all I have so far. Will probably draw more about this later. Kinda liking this AU.

Lydia leaving her family behind

In the AU Lydia left for the same reasons as Glam- Gustav found her hiding spot and discovered not only that she was sneaking out every night, playing guitar and how much she hated her father, but that she was a lesbian as well.

I headcanon in this AU Ches introduced the idea of being queer after playfully flirting with her. She brings up how she was annoyed with it and doesn’t understand how anyone could find flirting attractive. Ches idly questions her about it and realizes she just seems to hate the idea of men flirting with her. So he sends over a girl groupie of theirs and Lydia realizes flirting is not so bad (though she sucks at it).

Needless to say being outed and exposed, she makes the choice to leave her family behind. As to what else he found instead of a the model of the city she was just collecting things she liked and thought were interesting. Her father never let her own anything saying it would make her “vain” and “materialistic” which weren’t good traits for a future wife.

He’s an asshole, but a lonely asshole.

I want him to get redeemed (and get with Ches but details details) and there is a bit of Glam in there...but he’s so much alike Gustav at this point he really needs to put in that effort.

Reverse MF AU- Ches & Lydia

Ches had a crush on her before quickly realizing that she was 💅💅

After that, they just stayed as friends. Dynamic is different tho with Ches and Lydia being more Big Sister/Little Brother with each other. Also they tease each other a lot more. But they’re just as close and Lydia sees Ches as the only man she truly trusts and vice versa.
