Remind users!
If you have a Verizon phone plan and use the free Remind service without the app, on January 28, text notifications will stop being sent because of a fee imposed by Verizon.
What this means for people who use the free service
1. Students will no longer be able to communicate with their classes
2. Verizon users will not get Remind text messages. They’d have to download the app and turn on smartphone notifications.
To offer the text messaging service free of charge, Remind has been paying for text messages that it’s users receive or send. Verizon is charging Remind an additional fee intended for companies that send spam over its network. The thing is the Remind messages AREN’T spam. User specifically sign up for this FREE service! This hasn’t resolved anything with Verizon. Remind will have to pay 11 times their current cost. They will have to end free Remind text messaging for the more than 7 million users who have Verizon Wireless as their carrier.
What you can do to help is call Verizon costumer service (1-800-922-0204) and ask them to reverse the fee. What you could also do is spread the word on social media using #ReverseTheFee and #NotSpam. Tweet @Verizon!! These messages aren’t spam!!!

Please help spread the word even if it means just rebloging this
