'Is This Thing On' by Reversing Falls. Recently saw the movie, 'I Like Movies', and this song in it by this random Canadian indie band really jumped out to me. They use the cool intro part in the movie. I think I'm half of the 186 views on this song.

At low tide the water from the gorge comes cascading down on its way to the bay, At high tide, however, which in this part of the world is excessive, the bay's water level rises 5 feet higher than that of the river itself. This causes a "bore," or rushing tide, to flow back into the river, and thus it pushes the water back up the falls.”

The Reversing Falls are actually a series of rapids, not a waterfall. But at certain times, they do flow backward, thanks to the high tide. The falls have the doubtful honor of being named one of the worst tourist attractions in the world. Now it’s becoming a popular location for whitewater kayaking.

But without a doubt, Reversing Falls 2 is not a downer record. Each track is pumped full of eye-watering sweet poppy melodies and quick guitar riffs. It’s energy levels and deliciousness match that of your first cup of coffee after a long night of drinking. If misery really does loves company, Reversing Falls’ fuzz-pop is just the right companion to their sorrow.
