I saw this movie, Without A Paddle, in theaters when it came out as a teenager. I still get an urge to watch it every few years, and it's never as good as I initially remembered it. Probably because it really was made for young teens. But anyway, this speech about life's finiteness by Burt Reynolds really hits. The sentiments are kind of generic, but it's delivered in a way that stands out. I wrote the key parts of it below, the clip has some context leading up to it. Burt Reynolds' character has been living in seclusion in the woods for decades.
