   Mercedes was clearly trying to make him laugh, but Daniel really wasn’t in any laughing mood. He glanced over at his wife for only a moment before turning back to his phone and shrugging. The last few weeks had been… something else, and he had been more than a little distant about one elephant in the room. “Guess I won’t rap again,” he finally answered.

MERCEDES’ MOUTH SHUT AS SHE realized that something was bothering him. She wasn’t sure what it was. She had an idea but she didn’t wanted to assume. She sat awkwardly for a moment as she stared at him and searched for what would be the right thing to say. “I’m sorry,” she said as her gaze lowered and looked at anything besides her husband. Apologizing and moving on seemed like the better option.

Things had been intense between the two tag teams a number of months ago, and things clearly hadn’t been resolved with Dash questioning why Lince was here. “I do work here too, you know? I have a photoshoot. Now, are you done or?”

Valentine’s Day was just another day in her mind. She wasn’t one of those people who hated the holiday because there were some sweet moments that came out of it (not to mention she loved getting chocolate) but she was so far from the type to obsess over it. Mercedes treated it like any other day off from work which meant an early morning trip to the gym was due. She did her normal routine while making sure to go a little easy on her shoulder and then drove herself back home. Cedes was in for a surprise when she got back. Her husband had surprised her with some gifts for the holiday and some kind words that she couldn’t help but smile at. I’m a sweaty mess and you’re making it hard to not want to jump you right now, babe!” she groaned as she looked down at the chocolates she had in her hand. Dan even made sure to grab the ones that he knew were her favorites. You can bet she ripped the plastic from the box, opened it, and popped one of the pieces into her mouth and hummed as she chewed the food.
