I think that the ongoing interrogation of sex positivity is one of the most critical things sex workers rights organizers are doing in terms of addressing white supremacy and power dynamics within our movement, particularly within the United States, where the legal climate has created this situation where privileged white sex workers who can afford to be “out” have incorporated “rights” “empowerment” and “sex positivity” into their marketing, stifling and getting violently angry when less well off sex workers offer a more nuanced perspective on our work and rights (see also Working It @medium, AND #RevoltingProstitutes by #junomac and #mollysmith #sexworkerbookclub #swerbookclub
