Best Buy Canada Rewardzone problems - is it a scam?
The Best Buy Canada Rewardzone program is a bit of a scam. You accumulate rewards 1 point per dollar spent, and then if you accumulate 400 points, you get a voucher for $5.00. However the vouchers are automatically issued, can only be accessed/printed by logging into the rewardzone web page, and they expire after 180 days, and no email notification was sent to me indicating that I even had a voucher. So what happened was that over the past few years, I have spent a lot of money at best buy, and all my rewards were automatically generated and automatically expired without me knowing about them. According to the history, I lost $45 worth of vouchers by not ever redeeming them.
To solve this problem, and make it actually possible for me to use the rewards I earned, It would be best if the vouchers would only be generated when the customer wants them to be generated. And don't rely on email to notify the customer about the voucher as emails never were sent or received properly. Instead, when I log into the main bestbuy.ca website, it should show me my available points and allow me to receive the awards. It doesn't make sense that the rewardzone website be a totally separate site, with a different login and password, and not be able to redeem the vouchers online.
