‘Rex Stanton’
So some friends and I hung out in this group draw thingy and I ended up making sort of an OC? I dunno, honestly he’s just a teacher who’s sort of a mash up of Paladin Danse and a young Alec Baldwin. Eyes of an arctic crystal.
Anywho, posting this cuz I’m still alive and I still draw, but just haven’t been inspired to draw anything recently.
Blargh...
Port Charles in Review: July 1997 Part 1
Rex Stanton continues to blackmail and threaten his poor niece. Danielle realizes how much he has set her up for the crimes if she decides to turn on him. Rex also made a point of introducing himself to Jake, who has since proposed to her. Rex tries to convince Danielle to have a big wedding and that Scott and Serena's money will cover it.
Scott decided that he and Serena would stay in Port Charles after watching a video of late wife Dominique and some not-so subtle prodding from Lucy, Kevin, and the Baldwins.
Eve stole the ransom money from Scott to pay for her rent and because she blames him for her getting a bad start to her internship under Dr. Burgess, which in turn led to Mike Corbin and Mary Scanlon being arrested because the FBI had marked the money. Scott and Eve talk about how much he loved Dominique and how much he loves Serena. Scott tries to get her to understand that it is important to be loved and to love someone in return even if you could lose them. There is this sexual tension between Scott and Eve which I find weird since she is the age of his daughter Karen.
Speaking of Karen, her long-distance marriage to Jagger is hitting rough patches, finds a new place to live, and Joe just couldn't help but kiss her. When she gets mad, he accuses her of leading him on. I think he is a bit right, but all three of them are guilty. Karen because she is lonely, attracted to Joe, and didn't tell Joe she was married. Joe because he had never asked if she was in a relationship and he initiated just as much contact as Karen. Jagger because he is not there and working all the time (and cheating on his wife, but we're not supposed to know that yet). Karen talks to Lucy and her parents about her marital problems (more of an argument with Rhonda). I loved when Scott hugged Karen!
Greg Cooper (the reject who took the interns hostage, shot at Lucy, killed Dr. Faulk, and injured Audrey) is trying to get off by reason of temporary insanity. He comes into the hospital as a patient after an injury during a prison transfer. Julie, clearly freaked out over him, guns, and something to do with her past, tries to act like a doctor and save her patient's life. Dr. Burgess wants Cooper to have scan to see if he was faking a seizure. Joe attacks Cooper because he is still upset over Karen, but Frank stops him.
As much as I don't care for any of them, I prefer Chris/Julie over Julie/Frank. Frank is a nice, moderately handsome guy but he is so dull! Chris gets Julie to open up about her older brother: he shot and killed himself. But apparently, there is more to the story.
Dr. Burgess and Matt are growing closer. He tries to get her to talk about her feelings about working on the man who killed her friend.
Kevin and Dr. Burgess talk about her reservations regarding the interns.
Lucy tries to get Scott to be more of a father to Karen. Kevin wants Scott to find a place to live. I love the sarcastic way Scott and Kevin talk to each other.
In other news, Kevin cut his long hair! Kevin is hot regardless, but shorter hair suits him.
