Kindred spirits...
Oleander was never afraid of the dark. Her actions thus far would tell you as much, but what she was afraid of was being alone. For the longest time her trusted partner Fred has been by her side and now as she drifted deeper into the darkness she missed him greatly. Little by little the darkness was eating away at her lost spirit as she wandered the edge between the astral plane and some unknown land all alone.
She wasn’t always alone. In fact, she had just been traveling with Fred and a few new friends just recently when a sudden malevolent force appeared tore the group apart, sending them who knows where. Now she was alone, frustrated, angry, and most of all, sad. Sad that he friends were no longer with her. Sad that she didn’t know where she was. Sad that she was losing herself so easily. Sad that...
She paused, halting her aimless progress as she tried to find something else to be sad about, but the more she thought, the more her dark thoughts escaped into the void. She was fading now, unable to form enough of a coherent thought, unable to maintain a concept of 'her'. She knew the risks of journeying through the astral plane, or at least she did at one point. But now she was little more than a shell of a mare desperately clinging to existence.
