Find A Song
about a toxic person that is very hard to get rid of
Rising, London-based electropop duo REYKO follow up their delicate, atmospheric track “Lose Myself” with brand new hit “Hierba Mala”.
Their latest release is a brooding, downtempo, dance track, keeping in style with their unique musical palette. Translating in Spanish as bad weed", the track refers to a toxic person that is very hard to get rid of - in their words ‘bad weed never dies’ or ‘hierba mala nunca muere’. Complimented with a video, we see the pair wandering through the city streets, capturing the same melancholy present in the track.
Before its release, “Hierba Mala” was synched to popular Netflix Mexican series ‘The House of Flowers’. Already with over 3700 Shazams, fans have been in long anticipation for months over its eventual release.
Consisting of vocalist Soleil and producer Igor, the two artists started making music together as the final project for Igor's master’s degree in music production. Soleil and Igor have maintained their DIY approach to music ever since - writing, producing and recording everything from their home studio, mixing styles from electro, minimal, indie, dance and trap and balancing it with pop hooks and melodies.
