ok listen, L was about to conduct an experiment to see if the 13 day rule was fake, if the rule turned out to be fake- it means someone faked the rule that cleared light and misa, meaning they are the kiras, Immediately after, L is killed by the shinigami- before he had the chance to implement his experiment, anyone with half a brain would realise L was killed to protect misa and light, if anyone smart would still be alive, this would be game over for light.
and why all the shinigami dying for misa?? she's not that great! her only personality trait is being obsessed with Light and Kira
the way I would've ended death note, was with rem getting fed up with light (and giving up on misa) and telling L Light is kira and wants her to kill him, than they would catch him together and L would finally have a real friend, and Rem would finally have her love returned, and L would show Rem how delicious human sweets are and I know death note is not that kind of show but fuck it, im SAD
