There's a post circulating in the rfc saying only 'mentally stable' people should be able to have children. I'm sorry, but this is eugenics and if you support that you support eugenics. 'mentally stable' is a euphemism for sane, so you by extension support insane people not having children, or only if they are forced to take pills (eg anti psychotics, which cause brain shrinkage). There needs to be more anti sanism and anti psychiatry in feminism.
The profligation of 4chan terms and language on radfemblr will destroy the community and chase off any disabled or mentally unwell women floating on the outside of the community. We need every one who wants in to stand up and be proud of their affliction with us, including the disabled and mentally unwell
i get so fucking sick of how radblr treats the term "delusional" and even actual mental illnesses (cluster b as an insult???? STOP). i get that they probably aren't specifically trying to say anything bad about people with issues like mine but please gain some understanding of what a delusion actually is and how just Being Incorrect is not what it is. also why the fuck does radblr fall for extremely obviously fake/bait posts so often please gain online literacy pl0x love you xo
Radfems lose every time they chase or otherwise alienate most if not all disabled women away from the community. Its sad really. Aren't we supposed to be about supporting all women, even if they're POV doesn't make everybody comfortable and is a bit challenging to understand as an abled!
I missed the whole ableist post thing so I have no idea what’s going on with that and it’s really confusing. Obviously it really ruffled some feathers but I have no idea exactly why.
Ableds need to sit down and stop telling the disabled what is and is not ableism. Radfemblr is filled to the brime with ableds who think they have the right to define what is and is not ableism, and they do not. They have no right. Sit down, shut up and listen to the disabled!
I really really like some of the radfems,, and it was fine, till, one day they get all ableist, and then I want nothing to do with the movement and focus more on ableism / the disabled (/ the mentally unwell / the addicted / the chronically unwell {I'm including them all)), in my advocacy (Considering I'm fucking actually disabled and can say what is, and is not ableist), and leave the movement. It's so very ugly how some of you see us.
Y'all would call me a fake feminist because I both support feminism and support, supporting the disabled. One can be for the disabled and listen to them and also be a feminist. It can be done. That nuance is allowed!
