Hello, everyone. The two of us have been talking about some concerns we’re having with the group. You all are a fantastic bunch of players and we don’t want the game to fall to the wayside, but we’ve noticed some things on the dash that are a little disconcerting. Lately, there’s been quite a bit of bubble role-playing, dropped threads and story-lines as well as some people only really logging in for replies and then going missing for a few days. We understand that we all have our ships in place and there might be characters you prefer to rp against, but given the size of the game, we really need people to follow through on plots and engage all players.
We really don’t want to have to be strict admins, but we’re going to have to set a few new guidelines. We’ll let you know if we’re going to be lifting any but these are how we’re going to operate starting today-- First off, to avoid duplicated plot-lines, we are going to request that all story-lines be submitted to the main prior to them being set into motion. We want this game to be enjoyable for all and not just for a few. Secondly, we’re going to start doing a weekly activity check every Monday and instead of the 3 day activity limit, we’ll be counting posts. In order to pass an activity check you must make 20 posts per week (approx. 3 posts per day, which we think is more than reasonable). If you don’t pass, you’ll be put on activity watch and have 48 hours to complete whatever number of posts you’ve yet to make. After that, we’ll be forced to reopen your role unless you come talk to us about either taking a hiatus or to explain your absence.
We really didn’t want to have to do this, but we love this game (and all of you) and we don’t want it to die. Thanks for reading and please feel free to contact us with any concerns or questions. Please like this post once you’ve read it.
