So, Jordan, what have you been doing with your semester off??
Driving myself nuts, mostly.

Actually, I've been trying extremely hard to keep busy.
I've been doing a lot of thinking.
I really wish I tell you that I could have "it" figured out.
I wish I was composing a super excited post telling you that I'm going to PDX in the fall. The reality is, I still don't know yet.
I don't own any piece of my admission decision. It is 100% out of my control at this point.
What does that mean?
It means anxiety and uncertainty, yes.
But it also means freedom. Freedom to make other decisions. To weave other plans. To imagine other scenarios.
I've been making a lot of plans.
Sure, I have no idea where I'll be in August or September. Maybe I'll be packed and moving to Portland. Or maybe I'll be renewing my lease here in the 'burbs. Or maybe I'll be moving to Maine, or Idaho or Nebraska or Colorado or California. Maybe I'll be relocating within The Twin Cities.
But until then? I can do so much more than just wait.
March 16-17th: Cousin Abby comes to visit.
April 12-13: Chicago, Illinois. A night in Chicago with Claire and any other lovely Chi-Tumblrs. April 13-17th: Boston, Massachusetts. A few days on the East Coast (for the first time ever) with my friend and co-worker Katie to watch her fantastic boyfriend run the Boston Marathon. Any MA Tumblrs going to be there? Lunch? :)
May 3: Gurnee, Illinois. An overnight with my relatives on my way to... May 4-6: Toronto, Ontario. Canada. HALF MARATHON. With Lojo and Beachy and any other beautiful Canadians I stumble across. May 6- June 13: Wolfe Island, Ontario. Canada. Just over one month of Karma Yoga at the Shanti Retreat Center. June 13-16: Milwaukee, Wisconsin. HALF MARATHON. With Rachael and a friend or two of hers.
What are your plans this summer, Tumblr? Can we make our paths cross?
