Reaching for the Moon (2013)
here’s to the rock beneath us, that shores up this house and everything in life that may seem improbable but not impossible

i feel bad that when you click the link in the poll to my rftm there is almost nothing about donnie here 😭
here is my favoritest drawing of her
👀 and 🤔 and 😈 for any characters you'd like :)
I'm going to do Donnie, Electra, and Winoc for these.
👀 Let’s start simple—explain their defining flaw.
Donnie is a very careless individual. Selfish. Inconsiderate.
Electra on the other hand cares too much, and the fear of spoiling what others think of her has resulted in a lot of repression and withdrawal.
Winoc strives to see the good in everyone, to give everyone second and third and fourth chances. This is a flaw because the world is so very hostile towards him at times and he takes far too long to realize putting a foot down is necessary.
🤔 What’s their worst habit?
Donnie speaks to everyone in such a harsh tone, always. It doesn't mean anything, but it reasonably upsets people sometimes.
Electra has always isolated herself.
Winoc automatically assumes everyone is hiding things from him, keeping secrets or wearing a mask. It makes him untrusting, and gives him a need to pry into things that aren't his business.
😈 If you had to pick a deadly sin that they align with most, which one would it be?
Donnie, both WRATH and PRIDE.
Electra, I'm not sure.
Winoc, wrath as well. if I'm doing a good job of characterizing him how I mean to, this should be really hard to see.
😬and 🥶 for whoever you want :)
I'll do both Donnie and Electra :)
😬 Do they struggle with being too insecure or being too confident? If they’re generally balanced, which way do they tend to lean when they’re having a hard time?
I wouldn't say that Donnie is overly confident, she's a very strong and skilled capable young woman with a good head on her shoulders. But some of that rightfully earned confidence gets a little misplaced from time to time, and she can have a hard time accepting she was wrong about something, or did something she shouldn't have, when she's so used of being in the right.
Electra, while confident in all that she does, often doubts that her motives are good and intentions clean. This insecurity has led her to making worse and worse decisions over the years, the plot is pushed forward in some ways by her desire to reconcile and to start making decisions less influenced by the rotted morals of those around her.
🥶 What is their most controversial or unfair opinion?
Donnie is very much an "every man for himself" type of person which doesn't add up with how she views herself not as the hero or savior or main character or "chosen one" but as someone who got roped into settling a conflict, filling a role anyone could have, she is not a central figure in the plot unfolding and she is there to help and support others—hey, that's not very "every man for himself" of you, Donnie!
Electra doesn't really believe any amount of good will change all the bad in the world. With all her good intentions, she dug herself into a pretty deep pit, feeling like she could only conform or run when she was unable to sway the evils around her to change.
