Poll: Is Ichiban Kasuga good in bed?

Not does he fuck, we all know he fucks, the question I want to answer is whether he's any good at it.

Because on paper, this guy is great. He's a naturally kind generous person, he's fun, he's adventurous, he canonically has basically 0 hang-ups about anything sexual. He cares about people, but he wouldn't be weird or clingy if it was just a casual thing.

But IDK how to express this exactly, but to me, he just has the vibes of someone who is completely average in the sack. He's not bad, and you'd probably call him back if you hadn't met anyone else in the meantime, but no one is putting this man on their best fucks ever list. He's aggressively fine.

But my partner thinks I'm insane, and Ichiban is great in bed. So I'm coming to you, RGG fandom on tumblr, as the people who spend the most time thinking about the sex lives of Yakuza protags, to solve this debate.

I missed posting this here on the exact day but happy birthday Mitsu!

It took me months to complete this piece. I have the sketch in wip since i wrote the fic. It was very different and every attempts kinda made me frustrated of it. I just gave up until I would figure out a better composition. I didn't know if I wanted a single illustration or a comic page. Both still kinda feels right to me, but I prefer this one. So I made this piece for their breakup arc during Y7 canon event. It represent a bit everything they are trying to do during this arc. Joongi pushed her away for her safety ( for good reasons tbh she is a civilian and he is part of the Korean mafia) and she ends up wall off from the community she had grown to love and cherish after Bleach Japan tried to drive them off. She wanted to help so much but between this and everything that is happening to her, she had given up. Having him try to reach her from his world after things calm down is just so pretty to me. Sometime you wished you were souls mate and fated to be together but life has other plan for you and it through sheer determination that you make it work. and through a bit of love of eachother.

#I just beat the final boss of Y7 today by spamming Essence of Orbital Laser like 5 times

How do you feel about the game overall now that you've finished it?

Looping in my partner @lexpinkmoon as they’re the one who bought the game for me and kept insisting I try it lollll

Anyway, Yakuza 7 aka Like a Dragon was PEAK. Total and absolute peak, both in storytelling and gameplay. I absolutely fell in love with the characters, especially Best Boy Ichiban!! He really is such a magical girl protagonist-coded character, what with his ability to befriend anyone and unrelenting positivity in the face of despair and hardship.

I was so impressed by the themes of the game, too. I know that the series has never shied away from political commentary, but I feel like it was especially strong in this game. The main characters are all the “dregs of society” going up against political groups and politicians who think they shouldn’t even exist. But as the game makes clear, these “undesirable” people (ex-convicts, homeless people, sex workers, immigrants, etc) are only in the position they are because they’ve been marginalized and excluded by “polite” society.

Also, the marginalized people in Y7 show much more grace, compassion, and altruism even in their dire circumstances than the well-off members of wider society (although of course there are good people everywhere, like the employees at Hello Work who help Ichiban and his friends get back on their feet).

Oh, and going off on that, I love how the main antagonist of the game isn’t a member of an organized crime group, but rather a ruthless politician who uses his clean image and tough on crime attitude to gain power (while hypocritically using the yakuza to his own ends).

SPEAKING OF SAID POLITICIAN, Jesus CHRIST that ending got to me. I won’t go into spoilers, but man, I really felt for Ichiban being put in that position. At the end of the game he’s lost everything connecting him to his former life, but thankfully he has his found family who have stuck by him through everything.

I can gush about this game forever, it really is THAT good. Also, like I said, the gameplay itself was super fun and made me realize I like JRPGs!
