As a healer, part of her job description required Freya to always remain calm and level headed for healing required precision and accuracy especially when lives were on the line. There was nothing more important to Freya than making sure her patients were taken cared of with their health as her number one priority. She worked day in and day out; healing soldiers and civilians alike with strict affection that was entirely her own.
There was no place for fickle emotions in the work place yet all those who were close to her knew of the one thing, or rather the one person, she would gladly break that rule for. When the news of his highness’s nearly fatal injury reached the shores of Elv, everyone worried for him but no was perhaps more distraught than Freya herself and she worried endlessly until the prince’s return.
The sound of trumpets signaled the arrival of the ship that carried Nikolai and his entourage and everyone gathered by the palace docks to give their welcomes and greetings to the returning prince. Excited chatter filled the space as soldiers, members of the royal court and the King and Queen themselves fussed over him; everyone saying their own version of how thankful they were that nothing more serious had happened to him and congratulating him on his achievements in battle. But all of that died down into a hushed knowing silence when Freya finally made her appearance after coming from the medical station in the Elvian camp.
“Kola!” She ran to him in a flurry of her white and blue robes; leaping into his arms with enough force for him to stumble backwards, her arms wound tight around his neck and her face buried in the crook of his neck. The crowd that had gathered around them watched with knowing fondness and took a step back to let them be-- save for one soldier who worriedly exclaimed, “Your highness, my lady, are you both alright?” (and quite possible ruined the moment).
