DAY NINETEEN: AEREA AND RHALLA TARGARYEN

I was feeling nostalgic, so I decided to visit Rhaena and age the twins up to teenagers. I know I say this all the time, but I really think these girls are the prettiest sims I’ve ever created. I didn’t even have to mess with their faces. GENETICS DONE RIGHT.

DAY SEVEN: THE BLACK BRIDES OF KING MAEGOR I TARGARYEN

Maegor had always been an unfaithful lover and an evil man, but until Rhaena Targaryen, Elinor Costayne and Jeyne Westerling all of his wives wedded him of their own accord. Rhaena, Elinor and Jeyne, however, were the widows of men Maegor killed in his numerous wars. They were mothers and wives who’d been proven fertile through the act of childbirth.

i aged up rhalla and aerea. it’s not as fun having them be tots when egg is gone. also i’m laughing so hard at benard’s face in the second picture. i agree, my man, tyanna’s forced pleasantry is absolutely terrifying. please stop singing.

Hugs in the time of Jaehaerys I. I invited Alyssa, Rhaena and the kids over for a visit. This family is pretty cute.

When Maegor learns of Jaehaerys’s claim he disinherits his nephew entirely. Without a legitimate heir to his name, he instead appoints Aerea to be his successor. She is still the daughter of his wife and a trueborn Targaryen.

After one last look back at the Red Keep, Rhaena climbs on top of Dreamfyre and sets off to join her brother. In addition to her loyal support and Maegor’s claimed heir, she delivers the sword, Blackfyre, to Jaehaerys. Alongside the Queen, several of Maegor's own men abandon their service in the Kingsguard to swear their swords to Jaehaerys.

Rhaena is delivered to Maegor after years of hiding and evading his attentions. Visenya had once hoped her son would marry Rhaena—had even proposed the union upon her birth—and now the Dowager Queen’s wishes will at last come to fruition. Although Rhaena is horrified by the shrine of death her uncle has turned the Red Keep into, she knows she must play along for the safety of her daughters and the well-being of her family.
