Ah I see you are a player of culture as well (Loremaster IS the best class)

Of your LMs, what pets do they primarily use? Is it different for every character? Also do any of their companions have names or backstories?

Thanks for asking! It’s so fun, and I always have backup in a fight. ^^ I should mention: Hal is Nature's Fury line, Rhia and Aelin are Keeper of Animals, and Rhia is Ancient Master line. They all name their pets, and all have Themes.

Hal primarily uses the lynx pet, now that he has her. Her name is Kiki bc when I started Hal I thought it’d be funny to name all his animal companions/pets/mounts after Critical Role characters. (So the bear is Trinket, raven is Vax, etc) he’s my oldest and highest level toon, so he has a lot. 😅

Rhia usually uses the bear. She’s only level 24, so doesn’t have as many options. Bear is Billi, just bc I liked the sound of it. I was originally gonna go for naming all of her pets -illi things(Billi, Rilli, Silly, but there's not enough options with my Chronic Cosmetic Pet buying ways). So now I think it's names ending in -i (except for Constance the nether-hound. She's special)

Ziin uses the raven most. She’s named Dahlia bc, as a hobbit, Ziin has a flowers/plants name theme going. (Her bear is Poppy, beaver cosmetic pet is Yarrow, pig is Truffle, fox is Thyme etc) It started as just flowers, but I really wanted to name the pig Truffle.

Aelin's still swapping between the bear(Silsereg) and eagle(Bragol) a lot, but I think she's leaning toward the eagle now. She does have some backstory for the bear: Aelin's a High Elf and was present for the battle against Sauron. Her bear companion at that time was Erestel. The current bear, Silsereg, is a descendent of Erestel, who settled in the homes around Rivendell while Aelin was in her Long Sleep. (Her naming theme is just actually using Elven words/terms)

Hoarded spring leaves all festival to get Rhia the Large Shrew pet and I can safely say

100% WORTH IT

Rhia got through the Grey Fear instance :))))

First Hal with Laerdan and Narmaleth, now Rhia with Meneldir(tho tbh I did see this one coming even before I saw spoilers), and I know how Tera's crush on Boromir is gonna end :)))) Also know Cele's gonna be real tight with Lorniel. :))) (*shakes Aelin by the shoulders* DO! NOT! bond with any doomed npcs!)

I'm totally not picturing Rhia leaving a flower crown on Meneldir's cairn and thinking to herself that this is super duper NOT the way she wanted to get him to wear one for more than five minutes. :) Not at all. :) Why would I be thinking about that?

I'm still trying to decide if she ever did get him to smile for her
