My heart is so heavy

knowing that women across the globe who have no knowledge of the magnitude of disadvantages placed upon them by men they will never meet nor understand, based on the signature of a piece of paper that is backed off of false and misguided beliefs will unknowingly be endangered, fall ill, and even die due to lack of fair resources …. brings me gut-wrenching heartache

this happened three days after millions of people marched for women’s rights across the world

this is happening and people in the United States still believe it is okay, and are excited for the signature placed upon this paper by an unqualified leader

this is happening and people are shrugging it off, it’s another piece of news, soon to be forgotten
