2: What is your latest fandom?Fic-wise, I have recently rediscovered Les Miserables/exR and it’s SO GOOD. I literally do not stop talking about it and by now I’m sure I’ve annoyed exactly ALL my friends. I need help.
30: What inspires you to write?Honestly, just anything and everything. I usually come up with new ideas for fics out of necessity (e.g. as gifts to friends, then I’d think of something they’d like and then write that) or just randomly, usually whilst on public transport. Yeah.
38: Do you use established canon characters or do you create OCs?Canon characters ALL THE WAY. I love giving anyone and everyone little cameos in my fics, so everyone will show up at some point naturally, it’s just how I write. And there are so many great canon characters to go around, why leave them out?
50: Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction!The beautiful phenomenon of certain headcanons coming up in fanfics again and again so much that they eventually become such an integrated part of fanfiction culture they’re basially regarded as canon. Especially with fandoms that have little canon characters description, such as Les Mis (about twenty pages in canon, tops lmao) or the Marauders/2nd Gen HP, this is super widespread. Jehan wears flowers everywhere? Canon. R always has some sort of paint on him? Canon. Enjolras is a PoliSci student? Canon. This beautiful post first brought this phenomenon to my attention and I’ve p much not stopped thinking about it ever since.
