Red, especially bright flaring red. But also yellow, and often orange. Gross browns, any neutral gray/brown color that's too red/orange... I'm far more sensitive to "tones" of colors than the color itself.

Never have.

The opposite; I'm considering being visually and genetically tested for tetrachromacy, actually. (I have very acute color perception. Like, UNNATURALLY acute, and I seem to see dual-tones where other people only see one.)

Right now I am just so ABSOLUTELY enamored with Tarja's new album, The Shadow Self! But if I had to choose between meeting her or meeting Amy Lee, it'd be the latter. Evanescence, and Amy's solo stuff and perspective, are still my hardcore favorite. Tarja just kicked Epica and Xandria out of the Running for my Second Favorite though. Holy GODS, that album is STILL leaving me breathless...
I'd probably love Night Mistress to hell and back though.
...but also artists like Celtic Woman, Alex Dalliance, and fandomatic things like the Teen Titans and Steven Universe soundtracks.

.........an interesting question..... I really do prefer quiet. But, I guess I like to hear gently rustling pages... water trickling... Low gentle rain, and embers humming (without the sharp SNAPs of hard-falling drops and fire).
10. what are you hearing right now?
My annoyingly noisy fan, and Cooter, mostly. (Siblings moving, Dad breathing, air purifier way under those layers... and the fishtanks trickling, if I really listen.)

11. are you very sensitive to smell?
"Sensitive" as in easily overwhelmed? Not usually, unless it's a Bad Smell, or I’m Overstimulated. But "sensitive" as in I can detect it acutely: very much so, yes.
12. favourite scent?
.oooh, this one's hard. I think I'd have to say, natural water in general.
.....okay, leaving it like that is weird. What I mean is: Clean, fresh water. Like rivers. Natural lakes that aren't polluted with uber-nitrates (so they smell like clean fish and plants and moist Ohio-clay earth, not sick fish and onions and musty-rotten wood). Rain over the forest. Cool mist on an autumn night. These are the smells that comfort me and make me feel embraced; comfortable; at home.
13. opinion on the smell of blown-out candles?
You know? I've noticed different candles have different blown-out smells. The really tarry, "hot" stingy smell of mass-produced candles isn't to my favor. But beeswax and soy candles smell quite gently when you blow them out. (I don't like the lingering smell of hot WAX in general either, though the beeswax and soy really don't give off that... almost hot-plastic smell.)
14. what does your shampoo smell like?
Depends on which one. I have the slightly-fresh "green"-smelling natural shampoo, an all-coconut shampoo that, yes, smells warm and earthy like coconut (it's too Sweet for me to use often though;;), a clarifying mint one I use When Needed, a fairly expensive all-natural lavender wash I use to pamper myself when stressed, and an all-natural milky mint conditioner from Trader Joe's that's somewhere in-between.
15. do you like to wear perfume/cologne?
No. They're always way too STRONG for me. And their smells are usually DISGUSTING...... (A couple of the older people around here wear some kind of perfume that always reminds me so thoroughly of INCENSE. I quite like that one. But most of it stings my noise and makes me cough just from being around it.)
I do enjoy wearing delicate essential oils, though. Lavender and rosemary blends, sometimes jasmine, sometimes just whatever incense gets caught in my hair.

Pomegranate. ...but that's, more for Tactile Stimulation from tearing it apart like a puzzle to eat it. /owo\ For taste, it's GOT to be fresh, ripe mango. And maybe avocado.

19. do you enjoy any unusual food combinations that others find unappealing?
Well, I love pickles, and I vaguely enjoy smooth-salty peanut butter, and I like the smoothness of cheese... So, my favorite sandwich used to be peanut butter, pickles, and cheese.
I also tasted "sushi mixed with ice cream" once (I was curious what Starfire's food would taste like, alright?). And it actually wasn't all that bad.
20. what flavour gum do you usually chew?
Peppermint. (...usually to soothe my stomach.;; But sometimes for focus.)
But I can't chew gum very often, because aspartame, xylitol, and acesulfamine K or whatever it is ALL give me headaches and upset my stomach. {:P (Bascially: American gum ALWAYS has at least ONE of those added in. And the ones that are specially made to NOT, are always SUPER expensive. So the only gum I can really chew is these Beechies things that are only ever sold at a candy warehouse that seriously overcharges for those stupid little two-chiclet packets. ;; )

21. do you often rip/cut the tags off of your clothes?
Always, unless it's made with a silky fabric and the edges aren't itchy. (According to my mother, as a baby / toddler I used to S C R E A M if my tags weren't cut off. Luckily she picked up on my being Touch Dominant VERY early in my life, and started doing it preemptively. Before I even knew to ask her for it.)
22. any specific textures that bother you?
...a lot actually. ;; Mostly itchy, tight, scratchy-rough, super-fine-gritty, sticky, and slimy. Getting Just the Wrong Combination of Hot and Thick and Wet is also Triggering (phobia hell), but, that doesn't usually happen, thank the gods.
23. do you have a high pain tolerance?
Oh, VERY high. (Kinda... have to have a high pain tolerance when you're an empathic healer who immediately tries to draw out the pain of anyone who ends up hurt nearby.)
24. softest article of clothing that you (have) own(ed)?
Ahhhh......~ ~~ ~~~~~ I have owned a lot of soft, velvety hoodies, fleece sweaters, and silken skirts in my life. Currently, it's probably one of my cosplay cloaks. Or my navy-velvet skirt. Or, possibly some fleece/microfiber/whatever socks I never wear unless I'm at a bus stop in -13F windchill? (That's like, -35C.)
Actually, the softest THING I have owned (besides my chinchillas~) was a little lionhead rabbit figure, made with black silky alpaca fur. It was my absolute FAVORITE, and I had to BEG my mother to buy it from the place she'd performed a play....... but, I think I lost it to the mold in the family's garage last year. {:c
25. are you a good hugger?
...I dunno. ;; People I love tell me they love my hugs, but I don’t do the big full-body exuberant hugs, or the super-close tight bear hugs, or the back-crackling massage-pressure hugs. Or the rubbing thing. Or... just, anything I've noticed people statistically "prefer" in their hugs. But, I guess maybe I hand them out at just the right times. I make plenty of contact, but I'm still... standoffish and restrained with it. I just... I don't know, I like the way I give hugs (quick, meaningful, and close, if only briefly). And I always mean it when I hug someone. (Also: healing hands.) But... I can't exactly say I'm super practiced in its art. o_o?

26. do you ever feel like you have a sixth sense? in what way(s)?
Uhhm, sixth. And seventh. And ninth. I experience them. My dreams predicted Teen Titans Go several years before even the Chibi Shorts made the comeback, for fuck sake. Seventh sense? Empathy. Fucking EMPATHY. I don't know how else to explain it; it's a sense, an awareness, I feel it, I experience it subconsciously; it's just THERE. I can sense Presences. (I'm not sure if it's another part of Empathy, or if it's a form of clairsentience. Because I have that, too-- just, KNOWING things intuitively that I shouldn't know.) I can sense the motion of astral projections, life-energies, spirits, souls; "ghosts" if you will. A lot of people call it "aura sight" but I have always called it an off-shoot of empathy, but apparently there's another Clair-something title for sensing the motion of energies, too?
27.any prophetic dreams?
--see above. It runs in the family. Both sides. So pin-pointedly accurate that if any one of us has a dream that somebody in the friend/family circle Gets Hurt Doing Something, we usually avoid that thing for a YEAR. (That’s the sixth sense, Precognition. My mother calls it Prophecy.)
28. have you ever had your fortune told? (did it prove to be accurate?)
...Numerology, palmistry, in-depth astrology, I was contacted by a psychic online once with terrifyingly accurate predictions. My fortune tends to be very Pessimistic, but they always say I'll fight through it. And I can't say they've been wrong. The only Tarot readings I've ever had done were either Indecisive for my future (story of my life?), or Purely Personality-Based.
29. has anyone “read your mind” before?
A few people. A few, SELECT people. People I'm close with, usually. Super, SUPER close. Like, preternaturally-connected close.
...and my spirit guide. holyfuck that first time was terrifying; have you ever had someone reveal to you your deepest, darkest secret that even YOU didn't know the true depth and horrors of at the time? Because she did.
...I mostly commune with my gods and spirit guides through "telepathy"/empathy, really. I don't speak verbally and they generally send me omens and images/feelings in return.
30. have you witnessed any “miracles” or strange coincidences?
Strange coincidences? Again, you're telling the story of my life. Everything around me was a "strange coincidence" until I figured out that:
~ I'm an empath, and I feel what people around me are feeling whether I wanted to or not.
~ I have a very strong and spontaneous sense of intuition/clairsentience and precognition.
~ I'm a born healer.
~ Spirits and other such nonphysical volatile beings are attracted to the massive amounts of energies that flow through me on a daily basis.
~ Magic definitely happens.
~ My soul has fucking wings.
~ There's an entirely INFINITE list of facets of existence that we can't understand.
As far as miracles... well. Just little life things. I consider it a miracle that I'm still alive. A miracle that somewhere in the cosmos, one (and in some ways, another) man managed to create JUST the right fictional character that I needed in my life to not go utterly insane from the forces of this life, both within me and without.

The Patronus test on QuizRocket? I had multiple answers for some things, but I’m still not satisfied with my answers...
~ I got a Rabbit, for my quick thinking and evasiveness and shy reticence. (”bright and alert”, “nurturing and kind”.)
~ Then I got a Frog for my calmness and adaptability. (”astonishing transformation”, “no difficulty conjuring [my] Patronus when needed”)
The rabbit is too Active, though (”mind tends to race in the heat of a battle”)... and the Frog is too............... friendly? (”you make friends easily”)

Favorite fictional characters: Raven from Teen Titans (easily my favorite), Lapis Lazuli and Malachite (both from Steven Universe of course), and also an assortment of DC Comics and Vertigo characters (Nightwing, Jericho, Nimue, Constantine, Phobia, Eric Draven, Death [from Neil Gaiman]). I was also once deeply enamored with Kahlan from the Sword of Truth series (and its TV adaption for family viewing, Legend of the Seeker) - but once I hit the fourth book, I couldn’t read any more. Everything about that book’s feeling just CHANGED from all the reasons I’d fallen in love with it.

What are you wearing right now: Good thing you actually asked this at a time when I still have clothes on. 8F (I’m kind of a nudist at home... heh.) But right now I have a navy blue tank top with slight ruffles in the front and a more elegant cut. And also a navy blue elegant-fit ankle-length velvet skirt that’s slit all the way up to the waist band on one side. It opens very high and very widely, so I’m also wearing a very close-fitting thin/light black skirt underneath it, with a layered wave at the open hip and a drape of flowing fabric and a thin black tulle sash.

What made you decide to get a Tumblr: Friends I had grown very close to on deviantArt were no longer using deviantArt to post life updates and personal stuff that I wanted to be there for them about. So I made a Tumblr to follow them. Then I found out about RPing on Tumblr and this was back when the dashboard was formatted WELL... so I tried it, loved it, and here we are.
Do you get asks on a daily basis: Ha! As if. (If any blog got asks on a daily basis I’d want it to be Dove’s blog. rp with my lovely, make me write about her, she’s really cool and dramatic and cute i promise ;;; )
Why did you choose your URL: It’s a long story, but tl;dr it’s a sideblog to my OC’s RP account. Her url is beyondthetemples, I liked making OOC announcements and planning in-depth scenarios with people via reblog, and browsing Tumblr for fandom things without logging out. So it was supposed to be the personal blog for Dove’s mun, more than me. {lD And I like this blog being secondary to my most precious Dove.
