I swear to god, I have seen a character design like Rhyse before, I just can't remember what or how I even remember it in the first place.

Yeah, I was disappointed at first that she was the twist villain all along since that happens literally every time there's an innocent looking woman, but the writers actually allowed her to an intimidating threat, if she's gonna be smart enough to trick and kill 12 other Ediths before the Edith we know got here, then she better be an actual threat. Her reveal not being a twist was sadly the result of too many OI plots beforehand using og female leads as villains

You can tell that she was the fictional authors favorite solely based on the choice of her clothes alone. Not your typical reincarnation story, as you would guess, takes inspiration from badly made fashion to sell the feeling that Suna is trapped in a crappy web novel where most of the fashion is covered in 3D models. (At least, that's my headcannon) but Rhyses looks all feel like more attention was put into detail to draw it unlike everyone else, which perfectly conveys how Rhyse was designed by the antagonist be the perfect self insert.
